Alsace Case Pavilion

The prototype of the case is the solar wall of Bouxwiller High School in Alsace, a great example of using solar energy to keep interior temperature at a comfortable level. The water-skin solar wall on the southern elevation, controlled by computer, can open and close automatically as the outdoor temperature and sunlight intensity change, shading the sunlight and reducing energy use. There is a micro-brewery running on solar energy. Visitors can see the whole production process and have a taste of the newly-brewed beer.
