Porto Alegre Case Pavilion
Porto Alegre case aims to expedite the transitional regime and the relationship between social and municipal administrative model.
National financial sector participates in budgeting, targeting social reform in order to pursue the real needs of urban society. And it also further consolidates the advanced democratic concepts and seeks fundamental social welfare. All people are clearly aware of their own responsibilities and obligations.
Main methods: to strengthen the cooperation between local communities and other urban communities; to strengthen the integration of public policy and services; to improve the efficiency of the democratic process, to reduce social inequality, to provide a better social well-being.
The program is not focused on social practice, but rather upon a change of culture and the way of considering citizens and political agencies. As can be seen from the background of the PGSL, this fits with objectives of the current application. It is the era of raising living standard of urban peple , finding out solutions and challenges, disseminating a new concept and management, which related to public affairs, and creative thinking is the responsibility of the inhabitants.
Institutionally, PGSL is seen to be innovative by basing public administration on the following principles: plurality (recognizing that society consists of multiple differences), dialog (contributing towards society becoming a system of connections that are always open and respectful) and consensus (forming a community of social responsibility for sustainable development).
