Our Pavilion is a showcase for the creativity and enterprise which is embodied by Liverpool and a showcase for the historic regeneration it has undergone in the last decade.
The Pavilion positions Liverpool as the gateway to England’s North West, telling the story of the region’s diversity, scale and the exceptional quality of its culture, with a rich and varied heritage, sporting and leisure offer and some outstanding natural environments.

The Liverpool Pavilion is in the Urban Best Practice Area (UBPA), which is within easy reach of all the main attractions, including the UK Pavilion. Other cities in the pavilion include Venice, Cairo, Pondicherry in India, Suzhou and Hangzhou.

Liverpool’s status as the cultural and commercial hub of a city region is being showcased, while its impressive track record in urban regeneration and sustainability will be positioned as a model for building Shanghai’s future landscape, lifestyle and future sustainability.

One of the chief attractions to draw visitors to Liverpool’s presence is a virtual 3D experience. Using the latest technology, visitors are carried up the River Mersey and over the city, before being given a fly-over view of the North West’s major attractions.

The pavilion will have three distinct areas:

1. Auditorium  – where visitors can see the stunning 3D experience
2. Event and Exhibition Area – the setting for a number of events and exhibits including one high-profile event each month of the World Expo.
3. VIP area and marketing suite –available for sponsors to entertain contacts and potential business partners and clients.
   The Liverpool Pavilion Experience has been created by two local companies. Uniform, who have designed the space and interactive exhibits and River Media, who have provided the 3D experience and audio visual content
