    Guangzhou Case Pavilion

    “The four moments of a Water City” is situated on a grand and flexible Moebius Ring. It shows four scenes in turn to reflect the beautiful scenes of Guangzhou. These four scenes are from Guangzhou scenic spots. They are modern, stylish, graceful and rich in culture. The bright colours and flexibility make Moebius ring very dynamic and gorgeous.

    The morning of the Pearl River. The scene virtually shows the beauty of the Pearl River. It locates the Pearl River on the Moebius ring. The River helps to shape the vibrant Guangzhou. The morning scene of the Pearl River is definitely amazing.

    Palm tree forest after rain.The scene depicts a palm tree forest after the rain. It captures the South China water town’s beauty. Live close to the water. The scene selects Er Sha Island from Guangzhou as a typical place that one can get close to a hydrophilic environment. Bright Pearl River. The scene shows the city of Guangzhou with its water culture. Pearl River Night Cruise is definitely a post card for Guangzhou.

    Guangzhou’s action to improve its water environment is well shown in its Expo theme: “Harmonious Water, Harmonious Guangzhou.”

    The details of the exhibition are as following:
    - “Colourful Chapter:” it shows the theme and city brand. Through images and videos, it reflects the water environment treatment of Guangzhou in the past, present and future. It also shows the city’s water management and etc.

    - “Practice Chapter”: it shows the specific content of the water environment management action. Through presenting the technical samples of this action, along with the ancient water culture and vein canal network passing through Guangzhou built in Song Dynasty(960-1279), it shows the whole picture of water management, natural water resource and water culture there.

    - “Harmony”: it shows the results of water environment. It will provide a 360-degree experience zone to show the water treatment scene in Guangzhou. Following the guide, the visitors enter the scenes that are designed to be as real as possible. Visitors will leave the place with deep impressions on the water treatment in Guangzhou.

    The exhibition uses various technologies, such as murals; Moebius ring LED and high-tech digital sandbox virtual 4D projection, air imaging, 360-degree experience zone and other means. All together will show how rich the water culture is in Guangzhou and will definitely impress visitors with Guangzhou’s “Urban Sustainable Development” notion.
