Bremen Case Pavilion

Bremen Case is selected into the Urban Best Practices Area. It displays the sustainable urbanization theme “From Knowledge to Innovation: Urban Traffic Solutions and Future Lab”. Bremen case will be located at Pavilion B2 in UBPA Central Pavilion Area. Bremen will present its exhibition through “Car Rental project” and the exploration on future mobility. “Car Rental project” serves similar European programmes with valuable pioneering experiences. It provides the nowadays urban cities some developing solutions.

This case will describe how “smart sustainable mobility” concept will solve the traffic problems in urban society. The design of the Pavilion is adopting the idea of `Origami’ to create a three-dimensional feel. The exhibition is divided into 5 sections. They will feature different aspects of Bremen. They are “City of Nature,” “City of Science,” “City of Flow,” “City of Culture” and “City of Future.” Bremen is a port city with several hundred years of trade and , shipping. Bremen is also famous for its Grimm’s Fairy Tales– the hometown for the story of Bremen musicians. It also has the best soccer team in Germany — Werder Bremen and the famous German Symphony Orchestra. Bremen Symphony Orchestra has already held many concerts in China. Bremen and China, especially the city of Shanghai, have a friendly relationship and long history of cooperation. This partnership will be strengthened and deepened through Shanghai Expo.
