Republic of Korea Business Pavilion
Republic of Korea Business Pavilion
The revolving water wave shape of the pavilion gets its idea from the traditional Korean Xiangmao Dance, in which dancers shake their heads to bring along the stripes connected with the hats and make them whirl like wheels. This revolving shape symbolizes close ties and circulation among human beings, environment and civilization. When it comes to nights, exterior walls of the construction appear to be blue, red, yellow, white and black, alternately, as a representative of the Asian idea of the five elements (namely metal, wood, water, fire and earth). Inside the pavilion, 4D videos and interactive simulation activities are offered to showcase environment-friendly high technologies and urban life related research achievements, such as the recycling utilization of energy.
Highlight 1: Snow Scenes – Visitors can see artificial snow scenes of Korea outside the pavilion three times a day in the morning, noon and evening, each lasting about 20-30 minutes.
Highlight 2: “Home of Wisdom” – In the “Home of Wisdom” section, visitors can experience outdoor remote control of household electrical appliances, or choose the best transportation vehicles with the help of navigation systems.
Highlight 3: Further Use of the Pavilion after Expo – Exterior walls of the pavilion will be made into plastic bags and delivered to Shanghai people after Expo.
