    Costa Rica Pavilion

    Costa Rica is a country in search of harmony with nature so it has identified as its objective that tourism, business, economic and social development in balance with nature. The pavilion’s design is inspired by the stone sphere symbolizing the aborigines who first inhabited this land, also a cultural symbol characterizing Costa Rica. Four core themes are developed: Peace, Industry Investment, Education, and Environment.

    People at the Costa Rica Pavilion

    Costa Rica, in its World Expo exhibit, showcases how urban residents of that small Central American country live in harmony with nature. Costa Rica, which has signed an official participation contract, uses the joint pavilion for Central and South American countries in the Pudong section of the Expo site.

    Highlight 1: Costa Rican Food

    Visitors can taste Costa Rican food, particularly gourmet coffee, and watch the coffee making process in the pavilion.

    Highlight 2: Performances

    Cultural performances, with contemporary music concerts, art exhibitions and cocktail receptions are held.
