Pavilion of World Wide Fund for Nature
Pavilion of World Wide Fund for Nature
The WWF, established in 1961 as an independent NGO, has gained worldwide reputation for its commitment to environment protection. Adopting Tai Chi elements, the pavilion is designed to showcase the organization’s global achievements in the past 50 years, and particularly its philosophy of sustainable development of rivers, estuaries and cities against climate change. Modern interactive devices are employed to present the causes and impacts of climate change.
Highlight 1: Entering the “estuary,” visitors can get to know the development and environment protection in such cities as Rotterdam, London, New York and Shanghai.
Highlight 2: The exterior and interior walls are both decorated with giant children’s drawings, which well interprete the exhibition theme and depict the future life of urban in children’s eyes.
