Pavilion of Global Environment Facility

GEF provides grants for projects related to such areas as climate change, biodiversity, international waters and the ozone layer with a view to improving global environment and promoting sustainable development of the recipients. Mainly colored green, the pavilion is designed simple but delicate.

Highlight 1: The palace is a high-tech glass-and-steel structure, illuminated by landscape lamps and decorated by murals from across the world, combining traditional arts and modern technologies.

Highlight 2: A stream of water runs through a cone hung from the wood-and-brass vault and flows into a glass shell, indicating the significant role of rainwater in world ecological balance.
