Georgia Pavilion
Georgia Pavilion
The pavilion resembles a typical “courtyard” in ancient Georgian cities, in the center of which stands a giant grape “tree,” symbolizing the soul of city. The four display alcoves in the museum showcase the country’s historic remains, culture, natural sceneries, cities and towns, seacoast and ski resorts, interpreting the theme of Close Ties between Nature, Sceneries and Cultural Relics.
Highlight 1: Natural Scenery Alcove – In the Natural Scenery alcove, visitors feel like standing in a balcony overlooking the magnificent Mount Kazbek where Prometheus is said to be chained in the Greek mythology.
Highlight 2: Ornaments, Necklaces, Crowns and Statues – Head ornaments, necklaces, crowns and bronze and iron statues made by goldsmiths in the ancient Colchis are displayed in the museum.
Highlight 3: Handicrafts – Visitors can buy local handicrafts and souvenirs at the souvenir store.
