    Hebei Pavilion

The pavilion features five interconnected geometric structures surrounded by a huge glass wall. The design is inspired by the province’s art of interior painting. The five buildings, like strands of DNA, form an integral “living being.” They symbolize the geographic proximity and close cultural ties between Hebei and Beijing. The Chinese philosophy about integration and symbiosis runs through the exhibitions in the pavilion, which trace the history, cultural and aesthetic traditions of the province, and look into its future.
