Tanzania Pavilion
Tanzania Pavilion
Displaying two cities of Dar-Es-Salaam and Zanzibar as particular cases, the Tanzania Pavilion presents Tanzania’s urban life, art and civilization. Visitors will be able to experience the “harmonious melody” of this country.
The colour of Tanzania Pavilion is that of ebony, a typical plant in the country. The modernistic overall structure, combined with the antique eaves made of grass stalks, symbolizes the harmony between man and nature in the process of urbanization. The pavilion is divided into three areas: a central open area for performances, and two semi-enclosed areas on both sides for exhibition, to display social and cultural characteristics of Tanzania’s cities. The central area features the sculptures of a giraffe, the national treasure of Tanzania, fantastic national parks and wildlife, with films of Mount Kilimanjaro – the highest peak in Africa as backdrop.
