    Sudan Pavilion

Revolving around the theme, Sudan Pavilion will demonstrate the country’s history, peaceful reconstruction and urban progress, illustrating the significance of peace for development and looking forward to a better future.

The traditional elements and various forms of exhibition in the pavilion are intended to demonstrate the pent-up passion of this ancient nation. The design of the entrance draws inspiration from the traditional Sudanese architecture – Suakin Gate, creating an atmosphere of solemnity and nobility. The Pavilion is divided into three exhibition areas.

Highlight 1: The ancient paintings – Entering the pavilion, visitors will be faced with the ancient paintings from Sudan National Museum. On the two sides, the country’s folk art, urban scenes and efforts in wildlife protection will be presented through multimedia. A combination of projections, pictures, illustrations and treasures contributes to show the rich cultural and historic legacies of Sudan.

Highlight 2: A multimedia area – This is a multimedia area. Videos about Sudan’s history and scenic beauty will be played here. In particular, there will be films on the Naivasha Agreement – a milestone in Sudanese people’s pursuit of peace. Real agricultural crops and other plants will be placed in the display cube that runs the length of the two sides. The roof will be fitted with light-transmitting soft films to create optimal visual effects.
