Ghana Pavilion
Ghana Pavilion
Ghana Pavilion showcases the country’s unique concepts for urban development, proper use and conservation of ecological resources, and healthy interaction between urban and rural areas.
Ghana Pavilion, with rich color and special appearance, reflects the beauty of Ghana’s iconic architectures and traditional residential houses. The pavilion is divided into two exhibition areas: The main exhibition area displays the West African features of Ghana’s cities, and the secondary area reveals the development milieu of rural and urban Ghana. Entering the pavilion, you will see the country’s iconic architecture – the Gate of Freedom and Justice. On each side of the gate, some handcrafted carvings with distinct West African style are greeting the visitors from all over the world. Decorations on the four facades of the gate reproduce the features of Ghanaian residential houses typical in West Africa. Through the display of holiday resorts, industrial development, herbal medicines, ethnic costumes and cloth artwork, the pavilion will provide visitors with an all-round image of the traditional characteristics of Ghana. The secondary area unfolds many aspects of Ghana of today, including the status quo of social development, new modes of urban construction and rational use of resources.
